I have looked at the 3Bays GSA online for some time, I have also looked at the various similar devices such as Swingbyte. The videos all say how useful they are and often compare them to Trackman and they seem to give fairly accurate results.

Has anyone tried the 3Bays or any of the others? I wonder whether they have any lasting use in that once you have used it, got your results, dont change the swing, is there any point in keep using it.

Any views guys?

Check the reviews section someone did a full review recently and said it was a cracking piece of kit.

Thanks Fader, it was that review that got me started looking and I was thinking that others may be ahead of me and actually bought one or other device after reading the review.

Ah fair one. I have been toying with the idea after the reviews, but will have to wait out on deciding on one of these or a new driver until I get back from the cost of 2 round trips to Cheshire to pick up my kiddies.

I don't need a new driver just to much coming out at the moment so one of these may swing it as my next purchase.

After a lot of umm-ing and arr-ing I decided the money was better spent on some 1-1 lessons with a Pro. You could possibly get 1 lesson a month for an entire year for similar money and it would probably have more benefit to your game.

pffft to lessons, we want some gadg :D (to coin a phrase from the gadget show)

someone else buy one and do a review as I am v interested also. I see the swingbyte is on powerbugs website for £115!!

I would avoid the Swingbyte until version 2 is released. The attachment on version 1 has issues with movement on the shaft and they have redesigned it and added to its functionality for version 2.

If anyone is interested in a 3 Bays GSA then PM me as I can supply much cheaper than the internet deals/prices currently on offer. I have an account with the distributor. The main advantage of this unit is its ease of attachment and the fact it is 'out of the way' in the grip cap.

i like the look of the swingbyte, but waiting until v2 or even v3 comes out at which point a good comparison can be made between the products. i'm letting the early adopters get all the glitches - i'd imagine in 18 months time the market will have decided which of these is best...

Guys - just to answer a couple of things in one go. I've not compared one to trackman and the key thing to remember is that this is obviously at a completely different price point and measures things in a completely different way internally. They have merit as a swing guide and give some useful data to help with practise and share with your pro but they are not designed to be Launch Monitors (at this stage anyway!)

I am about to buy one myself but had been waiting to update my phone first as that is what it will be paired with. The key things that I like about this unit are

(a) it only weighs 9g in comparison to others that are at least 30g

(b) in my opinion, which may be flawed, I prefer the fact that it inserts into the grip cap and will therefore - again in my opinion - be neutral on the swing; I can't help but feel that 28g (i.e. swingbyte) further down the shaft would have an impact. Afterall, I can change the swingweight of a club by simply adding 2g to the head!

(c) I would be waiting until at least v2 of swingbyte before I considered that due to its attachment issues.

(d) The speed of transfer of the swing data to the device appears VERY quick

I can't put prices on-line and I'm really only trying to help people who want one through an existing account that I have rather than profiteer. As I said earlier, PM for further details.

Cheers
Nicky
