3 vs 4 format's

our group play a lot of team games amongst ourselves, 2 from 4, 3 from 4 etc etc.
but whenever we get 7 turn up never sure what the best way to play a team game is.
have tried 3/4 handicap for the team of 4
and sleeping pro for the team of 3
but never sure if this evens it out particularly well, just wondered what other formats people play when it is 3 v 4

You could always do a round robin where the low handicapper plays for both teams.

silent partners. first drawn card is put back in after his first partner is picked so that he's counted twice.
