Friend selling his 12 mth old Powakaddy trolley- cant remember model etc but its the basic entry one.
any experience of what he should be selling for? I thought £150 would be fair?

If you sign into ebay there's an option to tick that allows you to look at completed listings so you can see what they item has actually sold for.

Very useful when coming up with valuations.

I always think its about how much the battery has been used, its the only part that is a consumable as such. A years use is no big deal unless your buddy plays a lot. At least you have some idea of the real usage with him.

My battery was new about a year ago, it was fierce when I 1st got it, after a few rounds it found a good balance and now is maybe a little less powerful. My feeling is that it will last about 2 years or maybe 2.5.

I think that buyers of used electric trolleys should be wise and ask the question about how much has it been used.

I work with batteries on mobility scooters and you can get a 12 month old battery that is either knackered due to over use or under charging. if for any reason they haven't used the battery for 2-3 months and not charged it then there is a chance that the battery life could have been shortened (a good thing to remember when offered a trolley with a backup battery). Also look out for them saying the battery is ALWAYS on charge as the battery will develop a memory. Always worth letting a battery run down once in a while to help it cycle.

Also check the charger if possible and they should be automatic which means they switch off if the battery is full.

Sorry to go on a bit but I get sooooo much agro from old biddies saying that their battery is dead but is only 12 months and they haven't used it much.
