I don't see how you can tell anyone to hurry up but I guess out of courtesy if your group is quicker they should let you through.

Many people agast at hitting through a group in front but I for one find persistant slow play as rude if not more so than someone firing a ball up your backside. This is an injury to people's mental health! There are so many people on the course completely oblivious that other people are waiting behind them, consistently on every hole and they make no effort to move any faster. They should call them through at the earliest opportunity if you've been waiting for at least 2 holes

Big difference between rudeness and potentially taking someone's eye out imo. As frustrating as it may be, slow play doesn't warrant assault. A word might be more in order.
