Let's be honest, he never doesn't have a good year by most people's standards.

Others have received similar commentary in the past (and not just with regard to majors), some of it quite vicious. It's just more persistent with McIlroy because he has managed to be in contention in at least one major almost every year for the last 10 years without winning one.

He might get 3 out of 4. Rory looked pretty good yesterday in Scotland, I can see him stepping up a gear this week. Crucial is the BBC forecast for Portrush this week says "gentle breeze".

I don't think SS will win three but definitely one or two so I'm hedging my bets on which ones. Rory has been too good for too long to not win another major, and The Open is obviously his best chance. He can't keep bottling them forever.

It was a pretty good major season. I'm sorry there was little or no drama at the PGA or The Open. Scottie just ran away with both of them. It's clear he is the best player right now and his four year body of work is impressive. While my guess is he will continue to dominate. However, a couple of other players have come out and won multiple majors early on and then seemed to fade. Will Scottie be different? I guess we will see.
