These sort of posts just highlight peoples complete lack of knowledge with regards to formula 1.

I presume he is referring to AD21. In which case he is spot on. In fact that whole season was contrived to hand the trophy to Max.

I’ve watched F1 for 40 years and what happened in AD21 was one of the most, if not the most blatant act of a result being manipulated in the sports history. There can’t be many worse in other sports too.

Doesn't it date back even further than that tho In truth? I used to watch it religiously and the team orders when Rubens Barrichello had to allow Schumacher to pass him to get his points total

I'm going to be watching again after taking a break due to the shameful way the season ended a few years ago, which saw Hamilton cheated out of his title.

I personally can't stand Max and think he's a danger to other drivers. I expect with more competition this season, his ego won't be able to cope and he'll end up becoming even more reckless and having a meltdown or ten.

Always been a huge Hamilton fan and would love to see him do well. Lando winning the title this season and Lewis next to end his career on a high would be ideal!

Difficult to read too much into testing but the cars did look close, could be an interesting start to the year. I agree about max, he's a bad loser.

I think it's got the potential to be one of the best seasons for years.

Lewis will hopefully get that buzz back that was lacking over the last few years. Roll on Melbourne!

Well I could go through the entire history of F1 and might possibly find something. But that wouldn't tell us what YOU think is a worse example of manipulation. And that's what I'm interested to hear.

Well I have been watching F1 for over 40 years an dpersonally I cannot think of 1. Not to thats level at that stage of a season and so obvious as well

I started the thread to discuss the upcoming season.
Unsurprisingly it lead to a load of replies about how it's boring and I don't watch it because of x.
I just don't care TBh, if I see a thread about something I find boring or whatever , my radical solution is to just ignore it !
I've also no interest in raking over FIA and it's members past interference.
Roll on Australia, hopefully the time wasters have moved on.

I’d love to see a Lando championship win.

I don’t have a lot of time for Max, undoubtedly he is a very quick driver, but as soon as things aren’t going his way the toys quickly come out of the pram. Every time he has someone in a car that’s quick against him he crosses the line (IMO), Brazil 21 against Lewis and several times last season against Lando. He got away with it in 21, but was good to see the FIA applying some penalties against him for what he was doing last season.

One of the highlights from last year was Max’s engineer telling him to stop being a child over the radio.

I’m not going on about it, just commenting that you said there was something worse, but you are refusing to answer. The forum IMV should be more open than that, but I’m not going to lose any sleep over it.

I’m also not invested in F1 enough to care more about the 21 incident than to think what happened was ridiculous. But I also think being able to change tyres etc under the red flag is also not correct.

Now, if there was an f1 car on an upside down treadmill, would it generate enough downforce not to fall down?

In which case, might I suggest that if anyone isn't prepared to deal with the ensuing discussion caused by lobbing a grenade into the thread, that they refrain from doing so in future?
