2016 Gross Eclectic Challenge

-18 last year, 3 pars, 3 eagles and 12 birdies.

2 of the pars are par 3's so hope to get 2's this year to improve. Didn't eagle the first either which should be possible.

I'll struggle to birdie our 16th off the back tees

That's impressive. What do you play off? You must be disappointed with the 2 pars.

Thanks but only very low level pro tournaments. Teaching pro stuff, that's all. One eagle was a good drive, good 3 wood, good putt, the other two were tight doglegs, drive and mid iron.

My eclectic for last year was 64, 8 under.

Just at my home course, mines 20 under....10 under front and 10 under back 9. 8 birdies and an eagle each 9.

My all time eclectic in all rounds of golf (not just qualifiers) for the 5 years I have been a member of my current club is a 23 under par 49. I have birded every hole and eagled 5 of them, including a hole-in-one at a par-3.

Who fancies a wee bragging rights bit of fun?

Obviously an honesty based thing where you keep a record of gross birdies and see how you fair by the end of the season at your home course during medals.

What would you expect your gross eclectic score to be over the year in medal play?

According to HDID I have managed only 4under in each of the last 2 seasons...going to try for 6under this year.

How have your scored over the last couple of years and what would you target for 2016?

It was probably not the best worded OP but it was an idea to-
