Membership, green fees, gloves, balls, tees, a new trolley, a new putter, £50 on a custom fitting..... yada yada.

Add it all up how much do you reckon you spent on golf in 2009?

I reckon a minimum of £1500 maybe £2000.00

New irons, new woods, new putter(s), new bags, subs, balls & tees etc. And that doesn't include greens fee money spent playing other courses.......
Can be a selfish hobby this can't it?

Probably £1750 with no membership fees. Would like to think it would be less next year but with my woods to buy, membership to pay for and a few other bits and pieces it looks like I'm screwed. Especially as most of this years funds came courtesy of my 30th Bday!

About 2,500 but with my fees at 1,300 alone and a new set of R9's at nearly 600 that wasn't too bad. I think the majority went on lessons, a new golfing wardrobe (golf shirts, jumpers, shoes etc) and range cards

As it's been my first year playing it's been a bit expensive, far more than I expected. There always seems to be something else I need. But it should drop considerably now as I have just about all the kit I really need.

I'm trying to resist the urge this year and stick with what I have. Apart from maybe a new putter just after Christmas with my AG vouchers :D

I actually track all my expenses so I know exactly.

It's £3,653.68 :D

That's including £1,100 membership, locker (£100), Lessons (£200). A couple of R9 Drivers (Don't ask - £600), new wedges (£150), trolley (£100), new bag (£120), waterproofs (£150), clothes (£400 - I like clothes :)). Plus probably about £100 in range balls. God knows how much in new balls.

I actually brought my irons, putter and original Driver, 3 wood and hybrids in Sep 09. So have been another £800-£900 on that was well I guess.

Damn I hate adding things up. Ignorance is bliss. But I think it's been money well spent.

The enjoyment I've got out of golf this year and the new friends I've made has made it worth every penny.

Couple of one-offs there but the missus is playing now too so double up on subs from next year. Still, I won a nice watch in our Captains so it is all worth while !! Won't be giving up the day job just yet.
