1st home comp of season: cracking start,proper golf has started

last time i checked that would be 8 over :mmm:

Oops my 'mistake'......our 7th hole normally a par 5 is temporarily reduced to a par 4 for now......I was thinking I was 7 over on the normal OUT 9 of 38 (shot 45 ) and didnt take into account its 44 for now.I stand corrected I was 8 over.

I assumed you were playing off the whites, which I thought had a SSS of 71 (par 72)

It was off the YELLOWS current par 71 .....SSS is normally 69 but I am assuming its 68 at moment due to 7th hole being reduced to par 4 temporarily.

Thanks for the kind words. Funny old game isn't it. Both of us had great rounds but I walked off thinking about the 2/3 shots that got away and the couple of putts that lipped out! and it sounds like you are in the same frame of mind.

Your welcome....yeah your right about the frame of mind,I came off the 18th slightly dissapointed with the double bogey on that par 3 hole.

Results just in...............finished 2nd..2 points off winner...GET IN....over the moon,didnt think I would be in top 5.....qualified for final in September.
