12hrs at the range with Gibbo

Notwithstanding the compression of the left pic, the right one is definitely better. Is balance a bit too far forward - onto toes?

The first swings I filmed before we did anything he hit the ball then fell forwards/stepped out of the follow thru.
Afterwards that stopped completely, even though he was doing his best to get out onto his toes to shank the ball!! :D

Was his shoulders aiming left before the change?

If so how did you correct it as I suffer with shoulders pointing left with the driver...

Waaay left.

Bump the left hip a little towards the target and a little upper body tilt away from the target
(reverse K).

Posture on the right looks great

Hats off to the pair of you for working at it for 12 hours - hopefully some rest and then practice and the changes will start to reap reward Gibbo.

Pah, 12 hours is just a warm up. Great post though guys and looking forward to seeing Gibbo playing in the flesh and seeing the results of the hard work. I've had the pleasure of James looking at my game and he is more than generous with his time and knowledge. I think the right hand picture is pretty spot on and hope that what follows from there will be as good. I can see Gibbo reaching his goal and beyond

Be careful with the new posture if you have any lower back problems Steve. When I had a lesson with my Pro he tried to change my posture, and my back went into spasm.:(

Well done GIBBO that's an outstanding achievement on it's own. Stance looks great in the second photo and will have you hitting the ball so much better in no time.
What I didn't realise was your profile pic is a pic of you not a robbed photo from the interwebery!

Keep up the good work it will pay off next season.

Good work guys, sounds like lots of progress was made even if Gibbo can no longer move. Although its a lot of changes at once, even if Gibbo doesn't go straight back into that position, he will have an idea of what he needs to do to get back into it.

400 balls in 12 hours!!?? Just ask James how many balls I'd have hit in 12 hours... ;)

Seriously tho... well done. Setup looks way better. It's a good job the pool table was out of action or you'd have got nothing done. ;)

Just to add my tuppence worth, as it was explained to me....

The right hand has to reach further than the left because it's lower down the grip. A lot of people just reach further which moves the right shoulder forward and then the shoulders together point left.

The body tilt away from the target lowers the right shoulder so the hand can reach the bottom of the grip without having to reach for it.

I like Mo Norman's tip here. When your ball (with the driver in hand) is aligned of the left heel, instead of putting the driver head right behind the ball, put it a few inches behind just forward of centre. It helps square the shoulders.
