£150,000 shot update

Well today was our attempt at the hole-in-one to win a Range Rover and £100,000 cash.

There were 10 of us. The hole was the 18th at Murrayshall. It was 170 yards.

I was drawn to go first. It was filmed, I was photographed......

I hit a souring 7 iron with a little cut....... 12 feet, damn it.
Only one other guy hit the green.

Anyway we got free breakfast, a free round of golf and free lunch with drinks. Lovely weather, great course. I shot +4 and putted rubbish, missing at least four 3 footers. 35 points stableford but some guy won it with 44??????

how did you get into that caper and what were your plans as a pro once you had holed in one?? You could have played in open qualifying next year as I am sure you would have been able to beat the joker that shot 99 at regional qualifying at Musselburgh on Wednesday!!
