Haven't been on for a while and saw this thread - looks like a ding-dong battle. Good to see the forum team holding their end up! Could you guys tell us what handicaps you were playing off. With my untrained eye I reckon Jezz Ellwood is the lowest handicapper?
A number of pros have told me you should use a tee peg on even the shortest par 3s. They say you should use any help you can get and that most people who hit iron shots off the deck are deluding themselves. Why make the game harder?
I'm completely with you Dave3498. I think if players were asked about catches and whether they clipped the ball with the bat or not, a high number would admit it. Walking has gone out of fashion - but could easily be made fashionable again. Don't agree with you par_par - wouldn't want to win a...
David, you've been a top-20 in the world player but have had to watch your ranking go down this year. Does that have an effect on you – is it easy to panic when you see that happening or do you try to ignore the numbers? Thanks, golfdonkey.
Players with the yips try belly putters and broomhandles - so why has everyone got it in for the chipper? If you struggle from just off the green ANYTHING'S worth a go, surely.
Thanks for your time

Munis take a bit of a knocking generally but has anyone played a REALLY good one (cheap fees, good nick, friendly staff) they can recommend? (no adverts!!!)

I'm with you chipin. As for team events - the second best is undoubtedly the Walker Cup. What an amazing one at County Down – true sport and not a penny of cash in sight.
Sun in my eyes, concrete greens, fingers so numb you can't tell whether you're holding the club or not, dew drops on the nose, scorecards so wet they turn into sludge. Can't wait!
Hello Dominic - is there an ideal number of swing thoughts to have in your head while you swing. SHould you concentrate on one thing – say, high hands – or should your head be completely clear once the club's started moving?
The whole thing is a big turn off. I'm only interested in the main money list and the world rankings. Who really cares who wins the FedEx Cup. Majors and world rankings are what matters.
