[QtUOTE=turkish;1360037]Just wondering if there is a specific formula that denotes how far a PERFECT strike should go, given the swing speed?
IE if you are swinging at x miles per hour with a loft of Y it goes 130 yards... and so if it doesn't go this distance then you know you are losing...
Just back from practice area after having another go with swing speed, real balls hitting of grass. PW average 85 yards. 8 iron. 117 average. Contact much better and ball flight was much flatter especially with 5 iron.
Has anybody seen any benefit of slowing down there swing, tried this at the range yesterday and seemed to be getting better contact.
Was not sure if I was losing distance due to the crap range balls.
Would be interesting to know how the lessons are being delivered, just had a course of lessons using track man, without seeing the swing I am finding hard to make changes.
Would never go near a mizuno fitter again, the same thing happened to me a few years ago. Fitted for shafts that were far to heavy and stiff. £500 wasted.
