Your targets and goals for the year?

I don't know. You'd have to ask Hawkeye, Ads749r, and fripsnchips. That or you're simply looking to create an issue where there isn't one.

Not looking for an issue, I'm genuinely surprised at some of the stuff you have written previously.

(Note to self, must learn to understand 'top banter' :o)

I can see that happening. Of course if you start playing great I might have to drop Ads749r and pick a form horse (although I am a heavy weight to drag around and will inevitably drag you down). Am I selling it?

Cheers Homer.

Maybe it's you that'll get binned homie:o those two should get together

The way you slag them off their game sometimes it wouldn't surprise me

Can't say i've ever seen anything i've taken personally from him. In fact he's been pretty helpful and as he says haven't played a round with him yet.

Starting the season on 12.00 with a target of 11, or if I have that one elusive shoot the lights out round then maybe even 10.

Will work on my short chipping round the green as it's my most destructive shot.

No honour board pots in my sights but want to win either one monthly medal or stableford.

Apart from that then just to enjoy my season.

Starting on 8.7, would like to get down to 7.something. Ive found my level really and need to step up the practise to get lower. Having gone through our calendar I reckon i have 12/13 qualifiers to do it in. Bring it on !!!!

Oh, and on a harder note, to beat NWJ at Fairhaven and Qwerty at Pleasington !!!!!

Getting down to 6 would be good.

I don't have any specific comps I want to win but, if I qualify for the club championship knockouts, I'd like to actaully win a match this year, having lost in the first round each of the last 3 years.

Would like to get back down to 5, but would probably settle for 6 if I'm being honest and then attack 5 next year.
Going to play in a few more away comps so they should help.

I Would like a handicap cut. don't care how much, or how many. Just one! its been 18 months! (all be it, about 10 Q rounds!)

I would like to play more regularly and build all round game confidence.

I'd also like to build up to confidently using my driver off the tee instead of my 4/5 hybrid.

Goals for 2015:

1. Go from 6.3 to 5.4 or less.
2. Hit more fairways.
3. Keep double bogeys or more off the card.
4. Scare the course with an under par round.
5. Practice more, as I find my self at a level where playing just once a week isn't going to help me improve as much.

Will be impressed with an under par round at T@P tough track

This year's primary goal is to get to 9.4 hcp or better. The biggest obstacle is, I think, the number of competitions I can play in to improve my chances. I've got a busy calendar this summer and I'm worried that there are too many "fun" or team comps crowding my playing opportunities.

Stretch goal is to break par. Closest I've been is 3 over, so it'll just be another extraordinary round I'm looking for.

Good thread as I like to have goals in mind.

I'd like to;

Hit an eagle. If I only get one, I'd like it to be on a par 3 if possible.
Beat my father-in-law on the Signature Course at St Mellion in May - we play for a trophy once a year
Retain the trophy against my two best mates, this year I have to give them 15 shots.

I'd also like to be more consistent with my driver, specifically being able to hit a draw with it on demand.
