Some work well with targets others just want to turn up and play. So what? No different to those using stats etc. If it is something you like and it gives you something to work towards then fine.

My goal is simple. Avoid going up another 2 shots again this year and if I can get a cut then all the better.
Why not. Keep it in play, and with a good short game it can be done. We have several at out place no longer than you that do exactly that and are off 8 or 9. You can do it!

11.9 so would love to get to single figure playing handicap but would settle for 9.9, also I would like to qualify for the matchplay stage of the county senior championship.

Lost 6shots last year so a repeats is extremely unlikely!!
I'd like to lose 4 shots and get to 10.4, may struggle with my limited available comps die to work and family commitments but like you say, you need a target!!

Same as the last few years to try to get down to 15 from 18 , the last two years I've played at 15 in our winter comps. So if I can do it in the winter when the conditions are at there worst I should be able to do it in the summer.
The places I would like to play well are Trumps next month, a senior doubles open in Holyte which I've entered with my brother, and to do well at Cooden would be nice.:whoo:

Target is 7 but will be happy with 8. Driving has improved over the winter, if I can shapen up the short game I should be ok. Iron play was very strong last year so hopefully I can keep that part going.

The plan for this season was to get the handicap was hoping for around 18 managed to get in at 14 so the next target is Cat 2. So for now its to stay injury free and get out and enjoy it and see where it takes me.
I can see that happening. Of course if you start playing great I might have to drop Ads749r and pick a form horse (although I am a heavy weight to drag around and will inevitably drag you down). Am I selling it?

I haven't slagged them off and was quite appreciative of Ads749r's performances in our winter league adventure. We were close in the pairs (5th from memory by two points) and we both made silly mistakes. But you could be right. Maybe they'll get together. Not played with fripnchips to even speculate on his game and it could be termed as "friendly banter" with two members of my club. No different to the sort of thing that happens in every 19th.

I don't know. You'd have to ask Hawkeye, Ads749r, and fripsnchips. That or you're simply looking to create an issue where there isn't one.
