Your highest Stableford points score?

Not seen any results from there for a while but the P&J used to publish weekly results for Nairn Dunbar seniors and it was most 56 points plus!!!!!

I think a couple of days ago on Saturday. I scored 45 points (27 on the back 9, played back 9 4 over gross) off 24.

I think it should see me cut by a couple and if I win the event it'll be my 3rd victory since the end of November :-)

This all reeks of banditry or ********?? Which side of the fence do you sit?

Neither - if you check through the posts, you will see golfers with (mostly) genuine handicaps (including a fair few single figure players) who have had exceptional rounds which, hopefully, we can all have once in a blue moon.

About 15yrs ago. 52 off 18. It was on winter greens though so shorter course. 3 eagles in that if I remember right. So a bit of luck really.

Personally I'm not tring to go far...just make a honest comment. Hitting a high stb score when just starting out is quite normal. But playing off 11/12/13 or there a bouts and claiming 5/6 under gross either is false or the player is off the wrong handicap. Likewise points in the 50's off a real handicap ...is that even possible?

You do make a fair comment but many mid handicapers have shot into low 40's off their own proper handicap, it ain't that unusual.

As for 48 points plus I'd agree a bandit or a bullshiter though.

Can be easy to get high 40/50pts. Take mine 3 eagles pure flooks, but thats 15 pts from just 3 holes. ie 4pts for an eagle plus the shot I got=5 pts. As I said they were pure luck but thats how it goes sometimes.

We are in complete agreement. Cheers.
I'm all for players shooting great scores & getting their handicap cut...that's the point is it not?
It's the players who maintain a handicap well within their talent who wind me up.....shooting scores in the high 40's and up......WTF??
