following on from the lowest score thread,
all well and good, but i also manage the occ high one.

So in the last few years what was you worst score.

The weekend after my 69, feeling good and went out in that weekends comp and shot a gross 96:(

Though not a complete round 2 years ago shot 28 over for 8 holes during a dose of the shermans!

So come on spill!

After playing muni golf for years and the joining our club, and knocking about 6 shots off my handicap, I went back to Allerton muni, thinking I'll rip it up!!!

Ok, it did lash down for 3-4 holes to start with, so all my gear was wet, but off 9, managed to hit a 22 over, on what is a very short course, and a par of 67.

The golfing gods taught me a lesson that day.

I went round Deercreek in Jacksonville in 130 in 2007... Suffering from probably the worst hangover (that's maybe not an accurate description, I was still drunk) I have ever experienced. In 37 degree heat and 90% humidity.
So that's a nice 58 over par...

104 same as my lowest score , cos i have only been out once on a proper golf course (by that i mean not a pitch and putt and not a par three course)

108 when I first started. Only remember because my mate was desperate to beat me. Because I beat him out of sight everytime we went fishing. Oh he scored 109 by the way. He must have recounted the cards 50 times.

lucky your still alive and not a dried out husk somewhere in the states ................lol

I started a swing/grip rebuild process back in January, and found the changes fairly easy to grasp. I was getting some great results and it looked like I would be getting some serious cuts this season. By March I was averaging playing to 12 and have been around that mark ever since, although odd shanks, scuffs and hooks slip in sometimes. In May I entered my first medal of the season, and was really confident but had a nightmare round. It was as if I could only hit one decent shot on each hole, instead of 2 or 3. Example 3rd hole 190 yds par 3. Hooked it into the cabbage, so took a provisional and hit it to 2-feet. Found my ball and ended up going down for 8. Twice I went OB but managed to only bogie, but had another couple of 8's on my card. 113 was a score I hadn't done for years. I was almost in tears, gutted and embarassed

About 4 years ago I shot a 101 in a Medal.
Had a shocker on one hole - well into double figures - and it didn't get any better. First time in 8-10 years I 'd been the wrong side of 100.
Worst ever was my first time - 139.
I think I've only been over 100 6 times ever....

well another 5 games for me and i will equal your record

When I first started playing full rounds, as a teenager, I remember a few rounds over 120 and it took a while before I could break 100.

Since getting back into golf and joining my current club, last year, I've had a few 89s there but haven't failed to break 90. Although I have had a couple of low 90s rounds at other courses.

I've been playing the game for years but only competitively since last year, so my highest recorded isn't actually my highest ever. I just don't know for sure what my highest ever is.

The highest score I've recorded was when I went back to my old club last summer for their Open. I was feeling confident and looking forward to it. 3 holes in, I was +6 and barely able to hit the ball. Finally signed for a 92, 21 over par.

Highest ever round was my first as a 13 year old was 120. I remember being pretty happy with it and hitting some good shots.

Worst ever round was my first medal/comp back after an 8 year break mid-last year - 104 for a nett 96! Having not played other than socially for so long I totally forgot the concepts of course/mental management and had some monstrous scores and got completely rattled. I was even after 4 so managed to drop 32 shots in the last 14 holes. Trying to birdie the par 5 18th to break 100 and hitting it in the water twice to end up with a 9 was the icing on the cake. I learned a lot from that day.
