Your golf swing/game ...

I had a whole batch of lessons at the start of the season, so coming into this season, everything is new.

Ball position. Address posture. Grip. Take away. Backswing and position at the top. Transition and movement into the ball. Even my finish position has seen change.

It's been slow going, but if Sundays range session with a 6, 7 and 8 iron, is anything to go by:

I'm on the right track

I'm still trying to get the transition better, but so far, things are looking good.

I sometimes clean all the toe and shank marks as well! Looks magic walking out of the range like that.

I have undergone a massive transformation in the last 4 months. Changed both swing and grip.

I seem to be a year ahead of where I should be though so I cannot complain. I had a very in to in swing and a closed face, which meant I could only ever hit a draw or a hook. Since the change, I am now back on a plane and square at the top, can work the ball both ways and hitting handicap consistently, even with a few doubles thrown in.

The biggest difference I have seen is the ball flight and yardage. Everything is travelling on a better flight and stopping. Still working on my distances at the moment for each iron but that will come.

Old vs New:

Got rid of the horrible slice and replaced it with a draw & occasional hook, with all clubs, so all pretty good in 2013.

In the last few weeks or so I seem to have lost a bit of my timing, my right leg firing far too early, meaning the odd top or shank. It became apparent the other day when I had the most destructive range session ever. Head went kaputt after 30 seconds, and I would have been better leaving right there and then. I proceeded to hit 120 balls of shanks, tops, slices, and even a whiff! So frustrating after I've been making so much progress :(. But I was having a hypoglycaemic sugar low at the time, so that's my excuse :D

Not even gonna post mine... People are probably sick of looking at it at this stage.....
But im plodding along nicely.......
Still work to do coming into this winter but dropping nearly 5 shots from the start of the season i cant complain.

Still centered over the ball... Still One Plane...... Impact is much better though as is follow through..... My swing is a lot shallower than when i first started.... And iv now settled with a flat left wrist position at the top of the backswing which has my clubhead square......

I think for the coming winter ill be working more on a better impact position....

I've not played or practised enough, again.

Saying that, I've had four lessons this year and I think I'm finally getting the club back on the ball from the inside, because I'm hitting it a lot further than I did last year.

However, I'm not finding that my bad shot is a hook, which is something of an issue at the moment.

Started the year not too badly then deteriorated. Was pulling / hooking everything with a fairly flat swing, couldn't get out of bunkers and was hitting wedges low and fast :(

A couple of lessons later it is getting better, putting a 60 degree Vokey in the bag has helped the bunker problem no end.

Still pulling some shots, but nowhere near as bad. The quality of the strike on the good ones is much better than it has been in years.
Just disappointed that season is almost finished, but like Homer said, I intend to play through the winter and come out with a fast start next season.
