has it changed much since the start of the season?

I am happy to say I have stopped hitting big slinging hooks and am now moving the ball both ways again. over winter I was slinging everything and couldn't hit a fade for toffee. it just came clean out of the hozzel when I tried so I tended to shy away from even trying to hit them.

id say my major change has been to stop taking the club behind me so quickly. I still swing really flat but just not behind me so quickly.

short game and putting is pretty much were it was although I am a lot happier hitting bunker shots these days.

my driving is still very much hit or miss so im going to put quite a bit of effort into getting that sorted in the near future. its still a case of manipulating it to slice/ hook it where I want it to go.

forgot to mention - my love affair with hybrids is starting to fall away. my 19* has become a passenger in the bag. the 22* used most and my 15* is more like a fairway wood with its big head. I got a set of mp33's off madaidey yesteday and it has a 2 iron which is a lot of fun. I think this will replace the 19* in the long term.

overall - quite pleased with lots of room for improvement. B -

 interested to hear how everyone has progressed.

My swing has changed a load, just haven't practiced at all. Played quite a bit but every round has consisted of a few new pieces here and there which I'm still getting used to.

Changed my grip, and tweaking my address a bit with very encouraging results. Other than that it's very much the same.

Radical changes to all parts of my game... @OP I have your slinging hook but kinda in a good way.. its so predictable I know if I miss i will miss left and that is a lovely thing, being able to plan. Early in the year I tried to use the linea short game method but have dropped it hard and am having more luck with chipping than ever.

Just working on getting my hands out of the full shot a little now.

I am over the moon with my game A-

My swing is a work in progress, the mahoosive sice on every shot is now gone and limited mainly to the driver and I'm slowly getting my swing more on the inside path rather than casting a huge outside path.

I've a lot of work to go, but I will get there.

Big changes made last winter so this year was always going to be a consolidation. I feel I am striking the ball much better and more consistantly without always getting the rewards in terms of competition scores. Short game showing small shoots of recovery and so while I'm annoyed the handicap has gone up the bigger picture is looking better. Just going to tighten a couple of things over the winter wiothout any form of radical overhaul and work on the short game for a fast start next year

My swing has changed a helluva lot. I've got down from 14 to just about single figures this year since working with JustOne. Very pleased - confident there's more to come too. :)

Who?!

Changed my takeway and the majoity of my backswing. Hands are higher at the top, with a wider take away. Looking at getting my left arm alot straighter too.

This has helped a lot with my irons but still working on it with my driver, im getting there and have seen positive results so far. Need to book a lesson for october/november to see how things are going and see if anything else to tweak.

I had a whole batch of lessons at the start of the season, so coming into this season, everything is new.

Ball position. Address posture. Grip. Take away. Backswing and position at the top. Transition and movement into the ball. Even my finish position has seen change.

It's been slow going, but if Sundays range session with a 6, 7 and 8 iron, is anything to go by:

I'm on the right track

I'm still trying to get the transition better, but so far, things are looking good.

After playing well at the start of the year and scraping into single figures I had been playing pretty rubbish and have ended up at 9.6 decided to not play for a bit which extended into almost two months. Played today and shot 77 :whoo: now all I need to do is get rid of the destructive slice that sometimes creeps into my driving

Hmm I use these marks a lot and while I am pretty central as you are, they are never has high up the club face as this.. wonder what thats about?

Do seem a couple of grooves high......unless hitting tennis balls!!?? ;)

Only work done has been on pitching motion. Feel as though my left arm goes up my chest as I turn, gone is a Flicky arm swing that was prone to a regular pipe :(

Worked out my issues after 5 years (yeah slow I know!) Started to really follow through in my swing and gain my old game back I had 3 lessons this season, but the one on the screen told me what I was doing wrong the other stuff was pure jargon about releasing.. etc.. Once that was sorted I have just got down to tweaking my strategy and learning the course and my handicap has dropped, I was at 3.9 15 yrs ago, I feel I can get back there and possibly lower, with all the extra knowledge I have gained in the 15 years.
The only issue at the moment is I don't have a driver I am confident in, I hit my 5 wood 225 yards minimum on the fly, so I am expecting to hit the driver 240-250 yards on the fly, and I have not had a fitting on my swing yet. Hopefully after my Cleveland fitting I will have found the answer and will have something that works the way I want it to.
I also need to work on my 30-100 yards game and a some long iron stuff, but otherwise I feel happy enough with what I have.

My swing disappeared over the winter, which was inevitable as I stopped practising when my second child arrived in November. My swing at the forest of Arden in Feb was a flat hooky nonesense that I perservered with for too long. Went back to basics about 6 weeks ago and fixed posture, stance, grip and re-introduced a proper shoulder turn. It all felt alien but I started striking the ball properly again.

The downside is that my Driver/woods have gone to pot so will try to sort that before the club champs this weekend.

'Season' started in June for me when I was decisive and decided to be committed like never before.

Since i've gotten back into it I've changed my grip and my backswing from how it was before my sabbatical. My short iron game is the best is ever been and i'm becoming far more consistent from 170 in. Used hybrids for the first time in July and strike them well but am perhaps a little tentative with them and sometimes top them but that's becoming less of an occurrence. My driver, well, I can hit fairways reasonably well but not without a detour left to get on them .

Overall I'm very happy with my game and how it's progressed. However, my swing....I need to book myself in for a few driver lessons really because my 'forum fade' can be quite unpredictable; sometimes it can land 20yrds to the right of its original line and sometimes it can be 20-60yrds....and then there's roll-out!

BUT, I'm in love with the game despite not knowing half the shizzle and abbreviations talked about on 'ere and looking forward to further improvement over winter.

Finally, allow me to comment on Gareth's leather sofa.....looks lovely

mine has had multiple tweaks and changes and all ended up for the worse. gone back to stock fade, sod all swing thoughts and playing quite tidily lately. Got a coaching session on Saturday so may well be a few changes afoot so watch this space :p
