So my son is coming on 16 and has a carry golf bag that he uses on a trolley and for carrying when it is wet, anyways it has broken and looking for a replacement. Brand not an issue, current bag is a Benross one. Anyone have any suggestions, online shopping is not that easy and I am struggling a little

Motocaddy Hydroflex

+1 to Motocaddy Hydroflex if you want a carry bag that also works well on a trolley (especially a Motocaddy one). Does both jobs well. The new Elitelflex looks like a slightly souped up version of this so may be even nicer.

Having said that, little Squirrel has a Motocaddy SOLO which is pretty much just as good, noticeably lighter and half the cost.

Yep, this with bells on. Love mine which I've had for almost four years now, and quite likely to get the same one again when it bites the dust.

Will the Hydroflex work on a normal trolley as well. no motocaddy trolley here for him
I don't have a Motocaddy trolley, I have a Stewart push trolley. My Hydroflex bag sits well on it and doesn't twist around. The only problem I occasionally have is the little strap that holds the stand legs in comes loose and the legs fly out, so I have to strap them back down again. But that doesn't happen very often.

I've got a Big Max Dry Lite 7G, it's not the biggest carry bag but it does for me over winter when I've taken a few clubs out of the bag. Jamie has a Hoofer - it is a much better bag with more storage, and slightly better design.

If you are on a budget, the Big Max is fine, but if you can afford the extra for a Hoofer and make use of the space that it offers, go for that one.
