wrap up warm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually wear a roll neck jumper, a golf shirt and a club jumper in the cold, but have just purchased and Under Armour top for the cold weather. Does anyone else wear one on here and if so will I still need a golf shirt and jumper or will that make me too warm

Me and Viscount are meeting for a round tomorrow. Even though the forecast isn't great i'll look forward to meeting someone off the forum and putting a face to the name.

Just hope i beat him! ;)

I wanted to spend today without any golfing. Rumour has it that tomorrow will be pretty bad, so I took the chance to enjoy an empty course at 5.00pm. Also (t.b.h.) I didn't want to turn up tomorrow and pay £3 for some bandit to walk off with £100 worth of goodies! I played two holes, then all hell broke loose! Lasted 3 holes, then out came the sun and I zig-zagged across to the last 4 holes (which I rarely play these days).
I'll go out same time tomorrow, unless the course is trashed!!!

Homer in answer to your qestion about the underarmour, I have one and if it was me would start with a jumper as well and end up taking it off. I'd definitely take the jumper but I should think you will warm up quickly and wish to take it off. Presuming you bought the long sleeve version of the thermal! Enjoy your round

I use these technical shirts, usually under a short sleeved shirt and my jacket. If it's very cold a polo instead of the shirt, but I don't really like that much on my arms. tbh today doesn't look that cold, I doubt it's below 5, so base layer and shirt.

My hair dresser asked if i had been on the sun bed last week. (cheeky bugger) But it was sunny last mon and tues so i think i must of caught it whilst playing!

Would agree. The one I have came in two versions(I won't mention the brand again as people will start to think I have shares in it or something)- winter and spring. I went for the spring one as I wanted the versatility of being able to shed a jumper if I got too hot.

Mines got this slightly weird slippy feel to it and weighs nothing which means I hardly notice it as it doesn't restrict movement in the slightest. I find it's main strengths to be wicking moisure away and leaving you comfortable rather than just out and out warmth. If you're climbing hilly fairways with a jumper on you get that odd feeling of perspiring but being too cold to take the jumper off - this technology sorts that IMHO and does away with the clamminess.

I honestly wouldn't be without it now.

Homer, like billyg says, I barely notice it's on but I know I can feel the benefit. I put it on and still wear jumpers, safe in the knowledge I can peel the jumper off and be left with the polo shirt over the armour (mine's Canterbury). You're never going to be in a position where it turns so warm that you'll regret having the under layer on!

The only problem I have is that the body seems to ride up during the round and leave me with a cold belly! If anyone's found a way of keeping them in place, I'd like to know it!
