Well I did say that the Beeb would change that forecast. They have now predicted it to bladder it down from 1-4pm along with the little breeze that's forecast.

Me I played today ( rubbish ) in the glorious sunshineeeeeeeeee.

Oh yeah, golf in wind is just great great fun. Such an opportunity to play shots you don't try at other times.

Heavy rain and wind, is not so much fun tho, but have played rounds in that as well.

Well I decided to play but I'm not sure it was worth it. 23 points from the 16 holes that were open. Was quite good fun to try some shots I wouldn't have normally played including a 4 iron from 140 yards that never got above knee high and ran on to the front edge of the green and the drive on 18 with the wind almost behind that was measured at 299 yards - was hoping to hit it proper forum distance.

Played today in 45mph winds (according to the Met Office). Very hard and when you hit a nine iron right of the 7th and watch the wind move it forty yards in the air from 110 yards into thick bushes never to be seen again you have to question the wisdom. As it was a society day it was only a bit of fun and all about the laugh so didn't worry about it too much (on the outside at least).

I was going to try and get out for 9 holes at lunchtime when I clock off work but its currently -6 and not due to get higher than -4 so I think I'll be starting on the NYE binge eating and drinking a bit earlier than planned

Frinton was fun yesterday.... on six of the holes the flags had been blown out of the cups!!
