Simple question really. This is the forecast for Cromer on Wednesday. We're due to tee off at 8-30am. Nearly all of the holes run east to west or west to east so the wind will be across pretty much every hole. Would you be on the first tee or having a lay in?

Yòure a long time dead - you'll wish you had played when you are up there watching!
of course you should play!
Never been convinced by this argument. Do you not have any other fun/interesting things you can do? I'd get the MTB out, or take the kids out for the day. Head up to the Lakes or hit the gym. Life is meant for other things than just golf.

Definitely play, played in winds like these a couple of times at the start of December and I loved both games. As long as 1) it isn't also raining 2) it's warm and 3) this isn't a qualifier, I say just go for it. You'll have low expectations and any sort of decent score is a bonus.

Yeah 'crack-on' it'll make for good practise if nothing else, I played a staff vs directors comp last Tuesday in winds of up to 40 with a bit of rain chucked in for good measure and the staff won so was well worth the graft in the end !...

Even though I check the BBC weather forecast before I play a round, that forecast will change. Having just seen the forecast on the telly there's every chance you could be playing a four ball with the Derbyshire mountain rescue team who seem to be earning there brass at the moment.
Sod that for a game of soldiers, rain no probs, wind no probs, wind and rain of biblical proportions, it's duvet time.
