Would you offer advice?

As a rule I don`t unless i am asked , then its keep the club going back low to the ground for a foot or so. that makes you turn and not pick the club up which is a common fault on higher handicap golfers , other is just watch the back of the golf ball till you have struck it , thats one of the best tips given to me so i gladly past it on . most good golfers have an idea as when you have had lessons and had the same fault you can relate to it in a way

A few posts in Fish's thread had me thinking.
Quite a lot are saying that they don't know enough about the swing to offer advice. Ok, the golf swing can be a bit complex depending on how far you want to look into it but if you saw your PP (who you didn't really know) constantly topping the ball and getting frustrated and you could clearly see they had a reverse pivot (weight on back foot at impact) would you mention it after the round.
Or would you think,it's not my place, I'm not a pro, I'll keep Schtum.

Just asking

I wouldn't say anything unless the conversation afterwards got 'technical'.

Can you answer yes to these questions....

Do you know him?
would he appreciate you giving him advice?
Do you actually know what you are talking about?
Do you know his game well enough, to know what he is doing wrong?

If you can't answer yes to all of them then you should shut the @@@@ up. I think at some point we have all played with the "I know everything" player. The one who doesn't know you let alone your swing, but thinks saying things like "your lifting your head" "slow your swing down" I even had someone once tell me that I am swinging in to out rather than straight down the line.
