I guess you know where this is going :D

What's the worst you've scored on a Par 3 ?

I just shot a 9 :mad::mad: on our 17th. Ok it's not the easiest on the course at 215 yards, but 9, that's shocking.

Fatted my 4i a bit, but not terrible, left it about 10 yards short. Left an easy chip shot over the bunker. But duffed it in. Left it right against the back edge, so duffed it 2ft forward. Easy bunker shot now :smirk:. Well, I'll stop there. Few more hacks in the bunker then a 3 putt for a 9.

Argh.

And I'd parred the 3 previous par 3's today as well.:angry:

A ten for me. 3rd hole at WyBoston Lakes. Around 110 yards over water with water to left, right and behind green. Pulled 3 wedges right and ob. Eventually learned lesson and went to drop zone!

9 for me too.

Tee shot into trees.
Played out sideways.
Thinned pitch over green and into long grass.
2 hacks to get back on to green.
3 putts plus an air shot as I leant over to tap in :o

Guessing the vast majority of us mere mortals have had a nine or worse on a par3... Used to play a lot at Harefield Place which back in the day had at least three par3's that were potential card destroyers...

One of 249yds which more often than not required a driver that could lead to all sorts of 'issues'... An uphill one with a relatively narrow strip of a green... Never sure what was worse coming up short or going long into a steepish bank of longish grass at back of green... Then a downhill one that required a fairly[very] accurate tee shot or you were potentially in the deep doo dah...

Even the Legends of Golf can blow up..I read somewhere once that Arnie took a 12 during some tournament..and when asked after the round what he attributed it to he said,,," I missed the putt for an 11"...

Harefield use to be a semi decent course years ago.
I went back last October and I couldn't believe how much it had gone down hill from 2001 when I last played it.
If the par three is the same one I am thinking of it is one of the 6 holes that don't exist anymore.

In a medal, a 7 with a 5 putt from about 2 feet

Elsewhere, no idea, probably in the teens I guess. Usually pick up in a stableford if could not score as par 3s at my old course were SI 18-16 and one was 15 IIRC

Can't honestly remember.

In the last 18 months a 5 is my worst but before that - it just fades into the mists of time.
Must have had a 6 or 7 at some point.

Not me, but on Friday in a Medal, one of our seniors - not a bad player off 22 - on our 7th hole (180 yard par 3) put 3 out of bounds off the tee and ended up with a 13.

Scored an 8 several times. Once in a medal had to play provisionals counting as 9 off the tee - 1st was left & in the kack, three provisionals were right & OOB. 4th Provisional was short & left so unlikely to have got in hole for less than 11. Imagine my relief when I found the first one :o

8 for me. 2nd at Aberdour. Over a curved inlet bay. Put two on the beach off the tee. 5th in gorse behind the green (made sure I was making it over the bay) 6th in a greenside bunker, then an up and down from there.
Was not a good day, the 5 iron was at risk of being left in the trees bent double...

My spokesperson will field that question. :)

To make a 6, that'd be on for 3 and 3 putts or something....? Nah.....not recently.

At last a competition I can win.

On my first ever medal I got a 21 on a par 3. It was a 130 yard par 3 with 120 yards over a lake with bunkers and OOB behind the green, there was lots of splashing and laughing and in the end after hitting numerous balls into the water I aimed at 90 degrees from the tee onto the next fairway so I would have a shot. I must be getting better though as the following week in a stableford comp I got a nice birdie on it.
