Worst of the season

Well i have shared my highs on here, so heres the low 1.

Played at Bridport (dorset) yesterday, had a 20 min warm up on the range before and was hitting the ok, and then i made my 1st mistake of the day, i walked onto the 1st tee, i wont bore you with all the details.......... but lets say 16 pts tells its own story.

i think i hit about 10 shots worth remembering and got totaly frustrated with the whole round, my 2 mates tried to keep my spirits up bless them but dident do any good i had lost it.

But i did have to smile on the 17th, where i got my only birdie of the day, 7 Iron, 2nd shot, straight into the seagull on the front of the green he was a bit shocked but got up and flew away and of course i then 3 putted for a 5.

But as i see it you have to have 1 disarterous round at some time to be able to go back out and put it all right again, so i will put it behind me, and back out on sunday and play more like i know i can.

Alright but I had three successive scores of 22.

You should worry. We are now in August and I haven't played below my handicap in a competitive match this year!

Never mind, Gazzery. Bridport is tough when the wind is blowing. Try Lyme Regis when it's windy, even worse.

Played poorly in todays medal. Weatehr conditions were fine nice sunny day but was a bit windy approx 2 club difference.

Started reasonably well but went 7,7,7 from the 5th to the 7th against a par of 5,3,4. Ended with gross 98 net 79.
Had 1 quadruple, 3 treble, 4 double bogeys and amazingly 3 pars.

I think I too can joint he 'its all gone very wrong club'. Been playing great all week, hitting more Greens in regulation that I have ever doen before and was on a real high going into 2 comps over the Bank Holiday. Saturday was disappoint but not a disaster, 32 points, but today was awful. Bettr ball competition and I think I contributed on more than 1 hole. I played the first badly and never got it together again, I can honestly say that except for a par on the second par 3, I did not hit a single shot worthy of note. It looked as though I had never held a club before for most of the round.

Still, I have a week until I start the new job so it is off to the practice ground for me.

Amazingly i came 15th in the medal. Only one player managed to break par.

I blame the fine weather none of us were used to playing in the sun in summer.

Just checked the club website to find i was class runner up.

Thats two class runner up prizes in the last two medals.
