WooHoo..The course is dry..

I playd 18 (......Badly) last night and couldn't believe how our course has firmed up.

Fairways were running and the greens were bone hard. Back out again both days this weekend to try and groove these swing changes!

Rain.
Greens submerging, everything soft and mushy again...

Brilliant.......

thanks for the update, I feared this would be the case.

Looking forward to the course closed email tomorrow :)

Another comp lined up sunday too, could be another cancellation

Imurg, get in that company car of yours and come and see me, my course has been open a fortnight and each day it's playing better and better. A little moss on the greens but that is disappearing at a steady pace, fairways now looking good with definition between fairway and rough now showing nicely.

Or is it just me after shooting a gross 85 (nett 65 -7) today and taking few quid as well?

Played mine the other evening and it was too dry. Playing like links fairways but greens need work as the dressing hasnt worked it way in due to dry weather. Bit of rain yesterday should kickstart growth though and things are looking great for may

You wouldn't know it hd rained looking at our place at the moment. Unbelievable how quickly it's dried out. But then it's raining now so be a bit damp by the weekend

This could be a very frustrating year. Our place was bone dry on Wednesday but today there is standing water everywhere. The water table is so high it isn't going to take a lot of rain for puddles to start forming. I will be surprised if the back nine is open tomorrow but we'll see
