Seen some good deals on woodworm golf shirts, less than a tenner each or £25 for a 3 pack but I haven’t seen them up close so was wondering about quality and fit. I know they are an established brand as they used to sponsor KP and Freddie as cricketers but wondered if anyone has worn their clothing and give me some idea whether they are decent?

I was given 3, sizes are a bit bigger than normal, I go for medium but these were small and they are long, don’t really like the collars which don’t sit well.

But I do wear them but wouldn’t choose to buy, for anyone on a budget they would be ok.

Great value imo. OK they might not be quite the same quality as your £55+ shirt from your normal retailer (but not far off) and £25 for 3 shirts that will easily last a year or two - no brainer.

I did notice that on some older ones I have the collar was a different material to the rest of the shirt and with continual washing over (at least) 3 years there was a slight colour mis-match but, so what? Who doesn't like 2 tone shirts?

Size wise, they are quite generous. I normally take a large but using their size guide measurements I have always bought medium and they fit well with room to spare.

I may seem to be a bit of a cheapskate but golf can be expensive enough without throwing money away just to sport a designer label

Never tried // owned anything from Woodworm but the reviews I’ve read say that the fit is boxy, long and relaxed, which depending on your frame will be a good or a bad thing.

I’m a slim guy and only 5’6” so I’d probably not look to get anything from them (I prefer a slimmer more fitted shirt) I’ve recently found Decathlon’s range of golf clothing to be of good value so maybe take a look at them, also 3 polos for under £25.

I’m more of a boxy fit so will take a punt ?

Where have you seen them for that price ?

The brand is now owned by Sports HQ - along wth quite a few other golfing ones.

I'm certainly a fan - even of the Ernie Els wrinkley (I don't iron!) ones. Quality is same as Nike/Adidas etc (probably sourced from the same Asian factories as them too!) and a lot cheaper!

And yes, fit is fine for golfing - certainly not 'snug' - though I always go for 'L' though i'm sort of between 'M' (chest) and 'L' (gut;),body length)!

Ordered a 3 pack of shirts on Tuesday evening and they arrived Thursday afternoon , nice quick service. Quality looks good but not washed them yet so will see after that but don’t see any problems. Fit is good, I went XXL as I am 6’1 and 15 1/2 stone (mostly around the middle). They are long as previously mentioned but at least they won’t come untucked ?
