As I'm giving 12 shots, playing off the forward tees against an ex Captain and the fairways are now rolling a little, according to the espoused wisdom of these forums I've no chance at all...........:whoo:
Hmm! I came back down to Earth with a bump this morning, only scoring 23 points in our Seniors Stableford Championship. I was actually striking the ball quite well, but not necessarily in the right direction or the right length. I had a few unlucky bounces and didn't manage to hole any significant putts of more than about 3 feet, and missed about 4 of them. Strange game, golf!

H'mm. My interpretation of 5-Day Matchplay is that it's Matchplay for the 5-Day Members. I doubt there will be many 'boys' (except old ones) in that lot!

Oi sunshine ......... I'm a vet and still a " boy " !!
The only requirement was that the matches were played during the week, i.e. Monday to Friday. It was open to 7-day members, and in fact I am a 7-day member. There was also a 7-day Matchplay Singles, which I also entered, but got knocked out in the first round.
