Women's golf - different rules or just plain weird?

I've noticed something at my golf club that only happens when the women are out playing. Now, I always thought that there was only one rule book for golf but after seeing this "phenomenon, pehaps there is a "W"R&A version that I haven't seen!

The women go out in the usual 3 or 4 balls and they are all present & correct beside the 1st tee. Then this strange new rule kicks in, only one player is allowed on the teeing ground at a time!!??

One player walks onto the teeing ground and over to the red blocks, pegs it up and bangs one at least 70 or 80 yds up the 1st. She then returns to her playing partners and only then will the next player go up on to the tee and play their shot. It's like a bloody tag team relay event.

Is there a pressure pad and alarm under the red blocks that alerts if there is more than one person on the tee at a time?? Weird.

There seem to be quite a few "rules" which are specific to the Ladies section - I haven't learnt them all yet. I have sometimes been given the death stare for daring to stand on the teeing ground area when somebody else in the group is teeing it up.

Please don't mention the "can we have a pot of hot water" as one of them disappears down to the locker room for a tea bag. Or "we'll share a scone." Or "we buy our balls for our two's comp from AG coz they're cheaper than the pro."

Many of them want all the facilities of a good club but don't want to pay for them.

Do they also use one battery between them on their trolleys, they seem to be that close going up every fairway that they may only have a set of jumpleads between them.

I will not hear a word against women golfers.
However, have you ever waited for a woman to come out of a petrol station, get in her car and drive off?
By the time they've checked their hair, make up, e-mail, texts, seat belt, handbag, and finally to find the car keys it takes about 15 mins   ;)

I have absolutely no problem with lady golfers. Nothing more I love to see when stuck behind a 4-ball that all walk together to the first ball, then 50 yards across the other side of the fairway to the next ball and so on until all have played.

The last time I played with one of our lady members, she hit driver, 5w, 5i, on a 160 yard par three. She had two shots on the hole, so 5 net 3. Spent most of the hole moaning that they should cut the grass to fairway length from tee to green, as it was not fair she had to play from the rough.

It's a par 3, you are supposed to hit the green.

Stupd sod. I've played the hole before. Even I know it's a 5 wood and cheat a bit
