Winter mats

We use them, from around November, I dont mind them and do have issues coming off them in the Spring, certainly leaves the course in better condition, I hate t othink of all the divots there would be, whic hwouldnt recover as grass is not growing in the winter

I friends who use mats at their club and they take some adjusting back to normality apparently.

I can't say I've noticed any difficulty in adjusting either way.

We have never used mats, and our course is heavily played. Come spring our fairways are just as good, if not better than other similar courses in the area

I’m a member at 2 courses, one uses mats the other doesn’t, less than 10 miles between courses. I can’t say there is much difference between them come spring in all honesty
