As the sun was shining and I had a free day, decided to have a round at the Willow Valley golf centre.
A fine day the sun shining and into BST you would expect the players to be out and about, but no not busy at all.
The Pro shop is extensive and the attendants polite, it also has acoffe shop and a resturant (being Sunday it was Roast Beef and all the trimmings) which was well attended by patrons.
The course itself (there are 3) Willow is the championship, Pine and Fountain being a 9 hole.
As would be expected the course has taken a pounding over the winter and does need some TLC.
Wtih the wet weather a few areas and soggy and the green do show the wear as do the tee areas.
The Willow track is not for the fainthearted or beginners as control is needed and required on some of the holes.
Overall a tidy course and right beside the motorway so access is good ( if a link to the service station was there ). Would think that it will be busy during the summer months but well worth the visit.
