We are having ‘slide and hide’ for our new NEFF main oven. My wife has to be very careful taking stuff out of a hot oven as she has lymphoedema in her right arm and a burn could be very problematic never mind painful. Slide and Hide means she can stand right up close to the oven and not have to stretch her arms over the door - plus picking up a hot oven dish becomes a lot easier. We’ll take any issues that the feature might have if and when they turn up.

I’ve had mine in for 6ish years now without an issue. So it will obviously break now I’ve said that.
My mum and sister also have had them for years without a problem

We've had our for about 10 years, great bit of kit.
If opened and closed slowly, and squarely then they are ok. Also, don't be liberal with cleaning fluids which easily run down between the glasses.
As I said previously, the idea is good, but the mechanics are too complex although the later ones appears to have the many issues sorted out.
