No roll ups there unfortunately. I left a message on the board but got only 3 replies in nearly one year, played few games but it's difficult to arrange a game as everyone has different commitments.

I play tennis too and changed few clubs and never had problems finding people to play with. I appreciate a tennis game is easier to arrange and normally lasts less than a golf round. You can play 1 hour of tennis if you want.

Personally I enjoy even playing alone but it's a big problem when I want to submit cards. Recently I've been playing better than my hc which is still related to my second ever submissions and some people didn't like it. But what can I do if I can't put 3 cards together in a reasonable amount of time!?!

Packed up for almost 5 years due to an almost completely shattered ankle and The Boy appearing (how did that happen..?)
Restarted about 5 years ago and playing better than ever.

Bad swing, crap course, nobby old farts, nobby young bucks, ladies and a situation involiving a mercedes amg and a swan (I'll say no more).

I got married had two lovely kids and couldn't afford membership, two of the guys in my saturday roll up were posted away due to being forces.

I started working shift work again recently and found a decent club and my work now has a society so seemed perfect to get out of the house and avoid the now unlovely kids.

6 years out of the game and I have been re bitten by the bug! And the best thing is the wife supports it and encourages me to play so she can have the builder round or clean or something.

Big smiles all round.

i was away for 10 years after getting down to 4.5. Got bored with it, and the usual other reasons (mainly guinness). So at 30 last year, the mrs bought me a membership as i'd been hankering for the game again. Only managed about 20 odd rounds but got down to 10.

Then i had to chuck it again at the start of this season as i had some pretty severe surgery, but that healed up much quicker than expected and have just joined a new club 2 months ago. Loving the game again, although i can't get playing as much as i'd like but that'll come next season.

I sort of play 9 really good holes and 9 really bad ones these days, hoping to get back to the glory days of single figures!
