WHy Always Last

Just wondering why, in pretty much any sport I can think of, England have to be the last to announce their team/squad. Just seen the 6 Nations squad go up today, again after everyone else.

You cannot tell me that anything changes after other squads are announced or, in fact, that any sporting team should be waiting on the opposition announcement to try and gain some form of advantage.

So, any idea why, in any sport, England are always the last to announce their squad.

Any chance it's because we are world beaters in all sports and we like to keep our meagre opponents guessing..............

Other squads announced a few days ago - press not talking about them now....

In football it's probably because it takes a long time to even find 20+ notable English players these days.
