• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

whos your team?

When did this become a highways issue? :D

But i understand what your saying, only the car example is a different case. Fact of matter is, people do misjudge junctions, people end up in hospital and nothing gets done because at the end of the day, the clue is in the name, accident.

I am all for punishment when ppl are in the wrong mate but in football you cant just ban everyone who makes a late challenge. If it is malicious or intentional then yes, it should be investigated and obviously some sort of justice/ punishment instilled to stamp it out. Like if that driver at the junction was drunk or high on drugs then yes bang him/her up if that is what warrants.

But as a centre back of many years, the amount of late tackles i have taken and dished out, purely through determination and the spirit of the game isnt cause for me to want ppl band. Its so easy, especially when some one has quick feet, to be caught on the back foot after commiting your self, to arrive late.

I broke my mets in my foot by kicking the underneath of some ones boot, he didnt even kick out his foot was just in the way of mine.

It wasnt like eduardo was stamped on or really kicked, it was just the speed of two legs/feet coming together.

(just my opinion but this gets out of hand)

Tony, I am sorry for posting this picture but please look at the top left picture and see how freckless it was but most disturbing is the expression on Martin Taylors face in the bottom picture.

This is the first time I have seen this picture and I am now convinced the bug effin wanker DID TRY AND 'DO' him.

studs are down, foot only as high as a ball, eduardo's foot was firmly planted as the tackle was made which made the collision worse. last picture i admit looks bad but this is a milli second plucked out by the media, who will make this out to be ten times as bad as it already is. But i dont know of any football pundit who beleives it was malicious or intentional and i agree, obviously you dont and you are entitled to your opinion. But am not gonna continue to try prove a point cause i can never be 100% certain myself. I think if you watch the replays rather than just look at the pics, you may have a different opinion. This doesnt happen very often in football and if you tink of how many games are played each week, the figures are very very good for the amount of tackles that are done.

Ohh thats got to hurt. Look at Taylor face he could have easily ended his career.

Btw i'am a Celtic supportor and a season ticket holder too.

'Mon the Pars

DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC FOOTBALL CLUB is my team and Im proud of it. Dont get to many games now I live in Ireland but followed them home and away religously for about 20 years.

Well spotted Andy, my blood is absolutely boiling having seen that and all I can say is that I simply cannot wait to get this piece of [****] at the lane so I can give him some serious abuse.

I hope the FA have seen this particular image, the look on that mans face is enough evidence to ban this bastard from football for a long, long time. I sincerely hope they have this evidence and act upon it.

I also hope that McLeish sees it and acts accordingly.
