Hi All

I know this is a golf forum but i have just watched match of the day and seen torres bang in a hatrick!
I love reading your posts and all your great views and advice but you could say if golf is my wife then football is my mistress (or visversa).
If your anything like me (and most golfers i have met are) we tend to talk about 2 things Golf and Football.
So we all love to rib each other and i am starting to get to know you all a lot better so, i was wondering, who is your football team? It would be great to know!!

Lol all play well!

Am a united Manunited fan, well i say fan, its more than that. They are my life. Let the ribbing begin! Good result for us yesterday, Ronaldo is just a class act, Definitly on his way to becoming one of the greatest players of all time. And already a legend at old trafford.

Been a Chelsea fan since my Dad took me to Stamford Bridge when I was 2 years old. Heres hoping we win our 1st silverware of the season today and put a frown on Medwayjons face....

We are Tottenham, Super Tottenham, We are Tottenham, From the lane.

Come on you spurs, lets have it today and bring that trophy back to white hart lane.

Also, I follow the local side Gillingham as b&b in the Medway Towns, went to watch them yesterday and really enjoyed it.

Come on the Gunner's that was never a penalty yeaterday. I think the ref made a big boo boo.

Arsenal are a class act. All you guys have to do is sit back and watch class........

Class? you need to be watchin Nani, Ronaldo and rooney for that!

Hope Spurs win today, No offence to Chelsea but i hope you dont win anythin this season, or next... or the next.... etc :D

Don't do football much anymore. Stopped watching domestic football as it does my head in with too much coverage.

Also they're a bunch of overpaid, cheating, diving neds mostly nowadays. Lost all respect for the game and it's players. No fairplay in the game anymore.

Having said that, I'll be cheering my team on to turn it around against Barca. Stranger things have happened.

Hate football and all the diving fairies who play it, however, after 4 years at uni living with 3 Arsenal fans I support Spurs.

I will leave Eduardo out of the diving fairies part, that was not something to "run off" Ouch!

We did a similar post not too long ago, if I remember correctly the forum is predominantly Spurs.

I'm an ex football fan for the very same reasons stated by J_F.
In saying that, it doesn't stop me appreciating good football and at the moment I really enjoy watching Man Utd.
Barcelona gave a masterclass midweek at Celtic Park.
Sorry Gasp, but you couldn't pay me to watch Chelsea at the moment.

St Johnstone my home town team for all my sins.

There is always one team better than us in the league every year so looks like we are stuck in the first division for ever :(.

The Scottish first Division has GOT to be the hardest league in Britain to get out of. The SPL is virtually a closed shop with it's 1 up 1 down. Speaking as an Airdrieonian Toad, you might have got up if you'd managed to keep hold of Oweny Coyle. ;)

Motherwell F.C. since 1977 (I was 7 and that was the year Kenny Dalgliesh joined Liverpool) But gave up my season ticket when A-holes were earning more in ONE WEEK than I got in a YEAR made me move to golf. I kinda lost interest in Football once I stopped playing when I turned 30.

I am still a fan but cannot call myself a supporter because financially I don't support them.

Atticus,
Agree with you about the hardest league to win promotion from.
I think it is a disgrace that it is one up one down, no other country operates such a system, should at least be a play off between second bottom of SPL and second in first division.
Coyle may have made a differance with the side being more settled if he had stayed, after the good finish last year I thought this year would be our year but bloody Hamilton have come from nowhere with a very good side.

Celtic. I'm a Glaswegian Catholic. Then Nottingham Forest. I was lucky enough to be in Nottingham when Clough made them Europe's top team. BTW, how many of you know that Forest's ground isn't even in Nottingham?

Not really a great follower of football. Never really played it a school so did not build up that sort of appreciation. Follow Leicester City when I am looking at the scores as is my local club.

Now rugby is a different matter. Have been a season ticket holder at the Leicester Tigers. Rugby remains a game that all the family can go and watch. Children allowed encouraged to get to the front and allowed on the pitch for autographs afterwards. No crowd segragation, no trouble, and women and children actively encouraged to attend. Cost of a season ticket at Leicester just over £200.00 for one of the best teams in the country.

A sheep shagger through and through. Hate everything bigoted about the Old Farm.

(although like most I also hate Jimmy Calderwood!!)

My grandad as brought up in Govan and worked in the shipyards. Was not given much choice in who to support. :D :D

Gave up my season ticket when i started the golf again. Last game i was at was the last day of the season when we won the league at Hibs. Don't think any game would top that. Sorry to bring that up Celtic fans

No need to apologise, Stuart. I was born in Govan, too. It looks as though the Gers will be Scotland's only representative in Europe next month. I'll be rooting for them.
Regards
Shanker
