X-game chat is a major gripe with the PS3 and Sony appear to keep pretending it's not an issue, so I'm afraid you'll have to live without chitter-chatter for a while!

Frankly, I'd rather they made great single-player games than bothered with multiplayer stuff (sports games aside) as it always seems a bit futile. I mean, what's the point of online CoD when you've got different lag rates, connection rates, honesty levels etc.?

Seriously no in game chat options?? Is this on all PS3 games or just some???

I get where you are coming from in terms of great games (as my recent 30 hours since Christmas on Fallout New Vegas will testify), I wouldn't put any COD game in my top ten games of all time.(mind you I'm 36 and had an Atari,Spectrum etc etc).

But I would put it in my Top Ten most fun games.

The point of COD for me is the in-game chat, getting a full team together usually results in a very one-sided affair lag or no lag. Without the in game chat I don't think I'd bother with COD half as much as I do.

I have no idea what TA is on about. I chat with all my mates in all the games I play online. Works a treat.

So what exactly do you need for the in-game chat then? Headphones? Download X-Chat or whatever? I'm new to it all.

Just a bluetooth headset. The Official Sony one is the best one in my experience. Pair it to the PS3 once you have it and you're up and running.
