Which Golf Ball?

Thank you all. Took the Z-Stars for a spin and really liked them. 2 rounds and only 1 ball destroyed. Daves point about the jaws wedges i think is the real issue, but my god what a confidence boost when your firing in from 100 knowing it will react. I have the Callaway Razr Fit driver and am averaging 280 - 310 off the tee, so the nxt shot is generally a wedge on a par 4. hence the destruction on the cover. I will try bridgestone though as I have always thought of them as a tyre? sorry! xxx

Ive tried all the top balls, Each one is a fantastic ball if your a decent enough ball striker
but for me the Pro v1 just that bit better

I buy TM Penta's from eBay. They are lake balls and if you buy the Pearl grade option I honestly think you would struggle to tell the difference from brand new ones.
I'm still at the standard of losing a few balls per round so I thought I would give eBay a try.

I gave three balls to a guy at work who is scratch, he loved them and has since bought some from eBay himself.

The balls supposedly come from courses in Florida.

I've been working my way through a box of Callaway HEX black that I got gifted from callaway after a complaint, but to be honest I must be weird as I'm not liking compared to other balls. At premium prices they are £35 a dozen and I can't see why others rave about them.

Going to see if someone is willing to swap the remaining ones I have for a box of DX3's instead.

currently using srixon soft feel which i find brilliant off the tee but even better around the green, have just got my hands on 2 dozen z stars which at first impression look the business, used them on practice ground, but not played a round with them yet, guess im just happy with the soft feel, before that was using the ad 333, so firmly a srixon man

Bought (basically got free due to having a discount card) a dozen Bridgestone B330 RX yesterday with my driver. Used today and it seems a cracking ball, was holding on the green well with my approaches but still got big roll out from my drives.

Over £20 a dozen though so don't think I'll be using them after these dozen, my club have AD333 for £17 a dozen so may look to move onto them.

In my opinion the Srixon Soft Feel is better than the AD333 around the greens aka where a ball really matters and they're cheaper.

But with the 3 for 2 offer at AG at the moment it's hard to look past the Wilson DX2, I can't rave about it enough.

Tried the Callaways over the last 2 rounds and really like the performance, but again they cut up pretty quickly. The Z-Stars are in pole position at the moment for me, although I am going to try the bridgestones as well, as the lads we were playing against both used the premium B330 and swore by them, but again not cheap. The search continues... Has anyone tried the Nike resin yet?

Sorted - Wilson Staff FG Tour are the ball for me. Discounted in AG at the moment, feel just like a Pro V1 £10 less. Tried the Callaway and Nike 20XI, didn't really have a view as there was no real feedback to talk about, just felt like a normal golf ball if that makes sense? The Wilson Staff feel good off the club and perform well on the green. I also like the ZStar, choices....
