Which Car do you Drive?

Good topic! Something i'm currently debating.
I drive a Vectra at the moment, the boot is huge, I can easily get 4 sets of clubs, 3 manual trolleys and all shoes, extra clothing etc in the boot if i take the parcel shelf out. Drivers come out too and go through the boot and into the middle of the back seats.
We always travel in the 1 car if we are playing further away than the local course so basically me or my bro in law drives (BMW jeep so no probs).
However my company car is due for renewal this year and we're getting Insignia's, narrower boot, also smaller in depth and height.....so think thats going to screw the way we've been working. Can get the Tourer version but think its mega heavy on tax and fuel.

Currently I have got an Impreza Wrx and a BMW X5 4.6V8, clubs fit into both just fine.
I had an 04 Leon Cupra and had to take the driver out (Lovely car to drive but boot was average) and my company car for 2 years was a 2008 Skoda Octavia VRs 170 pdtdi, boot was cavernous, 5 sets of clubs, say no more.

Had a Volvo S60 for 4 years. big boot, the back seats split and drop which is useful in a saloon and means I can get 3 people, 3 bags + luggage without problem. Boot space is a major consideration when looking at a new car tbh. I don't do a lot of miles so economy not really a priority.

Mini Cooper D

With the seats up I cannot get any golf equipment in the boot (except shoes). With the seats down I can get 2 sets of clubs and 2 trolleys in without issue.

I used to have a Alfa 147 and could get my tour bag and trolly in the boot no trouble. had to lay the driver in first though.

Now have a VW Passat estate so can get about 8 sets in now:)

Vw Bora . clubs . trolley, gear bag with change of clothes the lot . fits no bother . if i drop the 60 part of the rear seat can slide through 2 or 3 sets &still room for one passanger in the rear ..

HID seat leon H/B has some room in it when rear seats are down .. fit a good few clubs in too ;)

Got a new 3 series BMW, one thing i had to spec was "split folding rear seats" as thats the only way to get 2 sets of clubs and my trolley in! Amazing isnt it, that a brand new 4 door saloon does not come standard with split folding rear seats!!

If i am on my own, i can open the ski hatch and get my clubs in the bag in and poke the woods through the hatch...

Looking at changing to a volvo XC90 soon, as in 4 months time will have 3 kiddies under 5yrs and the 3 series is just not big enough... also the XC will get loads of gear in!!

MKIV Ford Mondeo Titanium.

Boot the size of Old Trafford. Would happily fit 2 or 3 bags plus trolleys if needed or 4 carry bags.

As it happens it's mostly only used for 1 carry bag. Really utilising the space!

Mk4 Ford Mondeo Titanium X estate. Golf bag, Electric trolley and the kitchen sink and a ton of balls as I lose so many :-). When I bought the car 2 years ago I made sure it was suitable for the golf gear :-)

VW Passat, I like the fact that you can lock your clubs away in the boot out of view. They seem more secure than hatchbacks and estates.

The boot is plenty big enough for trolley and bag.

I drive a Seat Leon, I can get the bats in without dropping the seat if I remove the driver.

I have mastered getting mine in the boot (also a Leon) without removing the driver.... but the clubs need to be organised in the bag in a particular way to allow it! Sometimes takes a couple of attempts....

I just changed my CLK cabriolet for a C-Class AMG, goes like the clappers but i can fit my entire bag and trolley in the boot without even having to take woods/driver out the bag :) thats a hot look.

Just change my car from bmw X3 to bmw 525D msport bags of room in boot and as split folding rear seats for even more in the back and half as cheap to run

A Mondao and a Nissan Primara. Both 10/12 years old with only 20'000 miles on the clock(dont use them much walk everywhere). Get the clubs in either ok about the only time I use them for golf or fishing.(to tight to put petrol in, now wheres that hose pipe).

Mk2 modeo ghia X easily get all teh gear I ned in there, also got a Honda Accord just as big. If space is at a premium I could take the series 3 LWB landy:D.

My Uncle has a 1 series rag top BMW and can get his full bag in the boot, unlike his last 2 saab rag tops ( well he could in winter but the top folded down and filled the boot, clubs went on back seat)

There's a quick trick to doing this. Just reach in and unlock one side of the rear seat. Tip it forward a couple of inches, you can navigate the clubs in without folding the seat all the way down, then just pull it back into the locked position once the clubs are in.

I can get my set of clubs in a cart bag with my Motocaddy (need to take off the wheels) in the boot without folding the seats down. No worries as a hatchback, the parcel shelf hides the clubs.
