which brands of clubs have you purchased, which you never thought you would?

Callaway for me....

Never liked the look of them esp the hosel on the woods (funny looking).

I recently had to get a new driver as the old one may have had a crack in it, so tried all the brands on a flightscope and a Callaway Xhot pro came out head and shoulders above the rest.

Now up until that point i had a Mizuno tour bag full of Mizuno clubs (x the Putter) now i find its got a Callaway; driver , 3 wood and 20 deg hybrid in there.

never thought i would have seen the day when that happened.

So what clubs have sup you?

Not so much clubs as balls for me.

I always said I would never try Bridgestone balls after trying an XFixx as it was cack.

Having said that, brought a sleeve of B330-Tour RX and thought they were a pretty good ball.

Yonex I-ezone driver, I tried the SLDR, RBZ stage 2, Callaway offerings, Pings etc but the Yonex just delivered what I was looking for. The shaft really is the key, it's incredibly stable so I can get away with a regular and not struggle with a loose tip. It has some adjustment features but I have not bothered with them, the white crown section along the face is great for alignment. For a composite head it sounds good as well, not mushy or thud, like a callaway. The face is also hot which is better than the titleist 910 which was not.
