Where is Xmas?

Just Been to the tree house at Alnwick Castle this afternoon. Santa was in one of the houses. Young Bradley waves at santa and says "ave been a good boy". 2 secs later he says " coz i want some presents".

Rather a subdued feeling in the hospital with decorations frowned up and minimal where there are any at all. It's the Xmas prize draw at the club on Thursday so that's normally a sign that we're in the final run up. I went shopping in Reading last night expecting it to be heaving. No crowds, barely any queues at the tills and all the presents done in ninety minutes including 15-20 minutes in Waterstones perusing the books. Cushty. I could get HID one extra pressie (and she's worth it) but we're trying to be frugal and stick to a budget. It looks like Chrimbo chez Homer with the tree up and the pressies at the bottom

It just seems 2016 is that sort of year, I don't think it's going to be remembered for many good things.

Too right, what a crap year it's been, Bowie does 9 days in and then it's been a steady stream of awfulness since. Still, could be worse ;)

Don't like his music but Blunt is an absolute legend on twitter, definitely worth a follow.

Glasgow is absolutely mental at the moment. I work City centre and it's normally busy but the last two weeks have been as busy as I have seen it in 4 years. With the lights up on the Frasers building on Buchanan St, it definitely looks and feels like Christmas. Just need a little snow now.

Always loved going into Frasers at Christmas - the atrium is always beautifully decorated and looks stunning. Though the top floor of C&As in Argyle Street at Christmas when it was in full 'Toy Mode' was possibly my favourite aspect of Christmas - that and driving into the city centre to see the Christmas lights. But I am thinking back to the mid-late 1960s, early 70s.

The shops are very quiet in my town. I'll bet the Trauma Centre is rammed!
