Only 10 days to go and it feels like late November of years past.

Hardly anyone has decorations up.

Shops are understated, Xmas music not playing or barely audible.

By this time, a few years ago Xmas was in your face everywhere you went and you were fed up of it already.

This year it feels like it's yet to get going.

Christmas is getting later every year it seems

Well - as we are in Advent we know that Christmas is on it's way. Carol Service choir practices are underway; the church has been decorated, and Classic FM are playing beautiful arrangements of carols. Easy to know Christmas is coming if you look and listen in the right place :)

I love Christmas, yet strangely I'm not feeling Christmassy as all this year.

Christmas is here, love it.

Be nice to have tiny ones around again, there is something they bring to the table at Christmas that older children, young or old adults can not.

It times of Christmas bingo nights at village halls and schools, great time Christmas is, bring it on!

Agree with that. No festive feeling at all. Just want 2016 to be gone

Oh I have plenty of Christmas feeling and indeed I am truly grateful that I have Christmas to brighten up what has been a truly dreadful year for my immediate and wider family - with the beauty and message of Christmas for me being the celebration of what is good in humankind and so providing hope for the new year and the future.

Brougth tree in earlier, Mrs now attempting to untangle the lights.....red and green tat everywhere.....sigh.
