Alright Guys , wonder if anyone got / had this problem.

I’ve got a problem with my big toes when I walk the bone rubs on the joint so I’m in pain. Got worse this last year so went to get them looked at. Turns out I need bone fusion on my right one. Which I can’t have done yet due to work so maybe in a few years.

Anyway he said the trainers I had on don’t help as they are flat. Told me to buy some Hokas which I have done in trainers and they are so much better ( Walked a lot this weekend to test them ).
It’s because the sole is very firm and the toe area is curled up like a Turkish slipper. They don’t do proper golf shoes yet.

Anyone seen any golf shoes that have a curled toe. Going to do some research then drive a few golf shops to try some on.

Thanks for any help.

A lot of the Nike ones seem to.

I've got some arthritis in my big toes....I had the right one operated on 11? years ago just to give the joint some pain relief. The barely bends upward at all, I didn't need fusion. I have also been wearing Hoka's or something pretty soft since then since I need some cushion under the big joint. At the time I was told to get shoes that were stiffer to keep the toe from being forced upward while walking......I didn't do it and it seems to be ok.

There are plenty of trail running shoes that make for really good golf shoes with plenty of grip. I've never understood the golfing attitude of running shoes not being allowed on the golf course.......madness.

To be honest, it you could get away with it I would wear a pair of Hoka trainers If they help. Some of the soles on golf shoes are very similar to trainers soles anyway. Who would know they difference and I don’t think they would damage any of the course.

I’ve never been and never, ever heard of anyone being challenged as to the ‘intended function’ of their shoes on the course.
Since the inception of non spiked or studded golf shoes it is impossible for anyone to differentiate between a golf shoe and any other sort of trainer type.

Can I wear Hoka shoes to golf?
