Where do you shower ?

Pretty much always have a shower - and use the towels provided (nice big fluffy white ones). Unfortunately locker-room, showers & toilets are all closed at the moment for a 10 week revamp job. Means changing in room upstairs next to the bar.

I will have one at the club during the week as I'm straight to work after the round, we have excellent showers and towels are provided.

the eternal question of whether the external or internal shower are the biggest priority.....whilst courses such as Lomond resolve this with a welcome pint in the changing room whilst showering , it's normally a battle won by the pint (in the bar/19th/whatever) every time.

this situation is shared by many sports in my experience - shower + bath/shower being the ideal solution :)

Never been at Nerston, playing out of Kirkhill GC. Gave up on Torrance House, course closed too often, just so wet. In reply to your other question their new clubhouse opened last August and is looking fine.

Do you need an enigma machine to desipher this message?

Is golf an activity that makes you need a shower? Can't say I break into a sweat at all, it's only walking.

I don't need to have a shower after a day walking around town with my Mrs, so golf's no different.

If it's a rasping hot summer's day and there's a meal or presenatation after and you need to jacket and tie up, then maybe. Otherwise, no.

I had my fill of communal showers playing rugby for years... last thing I want to do is share a shower room and changing room with fat old men who've just wheezed and sweated their way round 18 holes cos they're unfit. :D

What he said. Unless its a scorcher and a change of clothes is required then i'm good to go. The last thing i'm doing is spending time in a steamy room full of naked old men with serious boundary issues, unless I have to.

I will however, recommend that my playing partners take a shower if it is needed.. Im not sitting at the bar with you if you smell like Jimmy 5 bellies thundercrackers....

Just started having my morning shower at the club, so I can get there earlier to book tee times for 2 weeks in-advance

They supply towel and shower gel, but tend to bring my own wash products

I almost always have a shower and change in to fresh clothes more suited to having a drink and something to eat after a round of golf. I have always thought this was the right thing to do.

And a sure sign of a top golf club is the provision of decent towels. The other sure sign of course being the rule that it is a members perogative to be able to play the course with their dog in tow during non-competitive play!
