I only found out today is a bank holiday about 3 o'clock this afternoon.

Wondered why the stuff on TV was today and not tomorrow.

The joys of being old and retired.

To be honest it's felt like a normal day around here
Did a few hours work around lunchtime, popped into Tesco for a sandwich and the place is as busy as it would normally be.
Town wasn't quieter, plenty of traffic on the roads.....

I found out that yesterday was a bank holiday at 8:48am today when I read your post ?

I spent most of yesterday thinking it was Saturday. Mrs Colch away working at one of her craft fairs and the kids not at school. Bank holiday Thursday is just wrong. They should be on Mondays or at a stretch Friday. When I come to power the third law I pass will be to only have bank holidays on a Monday.

Obviously the first law will be to ban pineapple on pizza. The second law would be to reclassify tomatoes as vegetables not fruit because everyone knows that's what they really are. And after sorting out the important stuff I can move on to the things like the economy and the NHS.

Dont forgot to reclassify Jaffa Cakes as biscuits

Here we have all Public Holidays on the date they happen regardless of day of week. Yup, including if it happens to fall on a Saturday or Sunday

(oh and loads of pineapple of pizza)

My problem is knowing if it's bin day tomorrow and which colour. Other than that everyday is the same.
HI. What day is it? Me. Today.

People who don’t like pineapple on pizza just have unsophisticated pallets.

I believe it was Thursday Friday because the actual coronation was 2nd so would be Thursday and Monday as the normal spring bank holiday, so moving that across to Friday (even tho Thursday is called the spring on and Friday jubilee) to have one long weekend rather than 2

But yes Friday and following Monday would have been better
