Whats your favorite shot in golf ? (on that rare day when you get it right)

Having to move the ball around something. Wether it be a fade/slice/draw/hook.

Had one a few rounds ago. Stuck behind a copse of trees, requiring 70yrd of hook to keep it in play. Nothing better that watching it swerve mid air exactly like you imagined it. Even got a look of amazement from my PP's and a question of "did you mean to do that???"

Sort of similar, any sort of half-crazy escape shot. Played with a few mates recently and left a tee shot on a small hill right of the fairway, surrounded by trees. 135ish yards to the green, a burn and a pond between me and the green, the smart shot was chip out sideways and then play on.

But...

There was a gap almost straight up through a couple of the trees, maybe 2 yards wide. Opened the face of an 8 iron, slashed it high up in the air. Only I saw it through the air and and my mate asked "Where did that go?," There were a couple audible gasps when it plopped down on the green, 20ft from the hole.

I felt like Seve.

Its a lovely draw with the driver straight down the fairway for me.. always gives me a boost for the round... if im scoring poorly it can kick start the round but if im hitting well then it can take me to the next level

I hit a 7 iron into a par 3 last week that was one of the best irons I have ever hit.
148 into a light breeze, all carry. I said to the guy I was playing with that I had to flush it perfectly, and flush it perfectly I did.
I could not have hit it better had I stood there all day trying to repeat it.
Almost an ace.
Gave me a great deal of pleasure that did.

I love it when you are forced to move the ball to get around a tree etc and pull it off to perfection, especially if you call it to your partners first

I played the 7th at my place and was left off the tee with a big oak in front. Could have hit an iron over and pitched on but decided to hit a Bubba hook. Aimed right of the eighth tee, called it and moved it miles in the air with the hybrid to the heart of the green. Marvellous when it comes off, not so good when it doesn't!

Quite a lot of the shots mention I am not even capable of doing and will never attempt (long irons)....

I suppose I get the same feeling from 180+ when I flush my 4 hybrid onto a green...

I always believe a long put is more down to luck than judgment...

So for me, the pitch from a tough position, ie rough, over a bunker to a tight pin position.. To commit to a shot like that and for it to come off, either ending up with a short put, or actaully holing out (like I did on our 9th last week) gives me most pleasure at the moment..

Low, stinger draw with a driver into a huge headwind. Middle of the stance, firm left wrist and sweep that little white pill down a tight links fairway holding your breath. Utter bliss :D

For me the hardest (read most inconsistent) shot in my bag is the 60-70 yard wedge..... I all too often blade it around 230 yards into oblivion.

So for me when I get one right it fills me with joy.

Very rarely, I'll squat down to look at the line on a 10 - 15 foot putt and know I'm going to hole it. I can just see exactly where the ball is going, the pace, the break and the point at which it will enter the hole. So I step up and give it a nice a roll and in she goes. It's a feeling of transcendental joy.

Wish it happened more often because the other 99.9% of putts are flipping misery. :D
