Teed off at 5:30 once and finished at 8:30, getting to work at 9. Asleep by 11. Never done it again!

Earliest for me in a medal was 1st out at 07:15 this morning, had thought that it was too early but enjoyed it. Great still having an almost full day left after you finish. Think I'll be trying for an early tee time from now on :thup:

06.30 was the only tee time we could get on holiday at Hans Merensky in South Africa... we booked months in advance!
Arrived at the tee at about 0615 and the place was heaving! Luckily we were ahead of the hoardes, so we walked peacefully down the first in the company of a female giraffe and her 2 week old calf.
A really special day!

Used to work a shift that finished at 04:00hrs... So at this time of year would go straight to the course from work and tee off as soon as we could see the ditch down the first fairway...

At APGC I don't think we can get off before 7.30, 8 during the week.
Once tee'd off at 7 at my old place butI have no desire to go any earlier than that.

First light at Patshull Park one summer day, think it was 4.45 ish, all planned whizzed round and then headed off for a six mile walk with friends.

Used to be an insomniac, so have played at 4 am before now.

I'm cured now, so 5am is quite possible. It was beautiful this morning at 5, not a cloud in sight. Sadly the course bans play before 7, and I was playing in a greensomes comp today at 8.30 anyway.

7am is the earliest i have teed off but next week is the 'Early bird shotgun' starting at 5.30 why have i signed up

4.30 for the Macmillan Longest Day having been up at 2.30 to pick up a drunk and hungover HTL from Leatherhead and return back to Ascot. He'd only been in 90 minutes and slept all the way. As long as he was happy!

7:30 until Friday then it will be 6 AM. I'm not a morning person so I prefer to start at about 10 at the earliest.

Half 4 in South Africa. As soon as it's light enough to see your ball. Finished by 7.30 ish. On the beach for a swim 10 minutes later followed by a Steers breakfast. At the desk by 9. This usually followed a night out. I have no idea how I got by on so little sleep in my 20's?

the glory days of youth,i used to play 18 holes before going to school (I was 14) then play 18 at twilight (juniors couldn't play in the daytime) then do my homework bath and bed then up at 4 to get ready to play again,the summers were the best when your a kid.

Long Golf Day for me on the 28th of this month,

5am start although we are playing the same course 4 times! And its a 9 holer with differing tee boxes for the back 9, so in essence il be going around the same course 8 times...il never want to return to the place!

We have a 6.30 shotgun Texas scramble once a year, when I was young free and single I used to tee off at 04.30 on Saturdays, clubs in the car Friday night at the disco and straight off to the course, do they still have disco's ?

Was a ball spotter for our pro when he did 8 rounds in a day, he teed off at around 03.45 when it was barely daybreak.

7am is aout as early as i've played but that was in the Ross-shire county Championships.

My brother used to go with his mates to Batchwood Nightclub in St Albans in the 80's and they would play straight after as soon as it got light and were very often not the first people on the tee back then.
