What's in the Bag 2016

S55 irons, G20 Driver, G20 5 wood (can't hit the damn thing) ghost putter, planning to get a hybrid to replace the 5 wood or a couple of wedges 50 and 54

I have made 2 changes so far but my irons were new towards the end of last season.

Driver: Tour Edge Exotic XCG7 9.5 with a Fujikura Fuel Tour 70 Stiff shaft, this is a new addition which I like the feel and flight of so far. I have had a Bridgestone J38 9.5 with a Grafalloy Blue X in for the last 4 years and I just feel that I don't do the shaft justice anymore and I wanted something a little more forgiving on off centre hits for when I have an off day. I have tried to replace it once before and it went back in the bag again after : weeks.

3 Wood: Callaway Xhot Deep 14.5 with Diamana Whiteboard 73s tipped 1.5. Great 3 wood, never got on with shallow faced 3 woods as I cut my teeth on Ping Wooden woods. I can't see this changing.

5 wood: Sonartec SS-07 19 with the same shaft as above. Been in my bag for years and for good reason.

Hybrid: Adams Pro 20 with Graphite Design 85X, I built this up last year and it's only about 5 yards short of my 5 wood but I hit a lot lower which is better into the wind. I don't hit it as well as the 5 wood but I this the shaft maybe a touch to long so I will sort this.

Irons 4-PW: Adams CMB KBS C Taper stiff +1/2. I really like these irons and they will be with me for a while.

Wedges 50 and 57 Mizuno of different type, the 57 I borrowed off my dad about 4 years ago and never returned it. The 50 I have only just got as I like the 58 so much.

Putter: Dave Hicks Vibe #1 or Yes Callie both or which are Anser style. The DH gets used more but I will use the Yes on very fast greens as it has a softer feel.

I don't change a lot of stuff unless I feel it's not working and as you can tell I am not bothered about what I use, as long as I hit it well and like to look down on it I will game it.

I've got some additions and changes to my bag for 2016.

Driver: Taylormade R7 Superquad 10.5 is in my bag now. I did have a Cobra Bio Cell in my bag at the start of last year but I was hitting my 3 wood just as far so I sold it thinking I didn't really need a driver but I was given the R7 from my mate as a freebie just to use if and when I fancied giving it a whack. Immaculate condition for the age of it.

3 Wood: Callaway X Hot Pro 15*. It's the best 3 wood I have ever had. It goes miles and its pretty versatile.

5 Wood: Taylormade R7 18.5* Steel. Never had a problem with it so I have never got rid of it.

Irons 4-PW: Taylormade RBZ's. I bought them in 2014 when I started back playing again. Bought them brand new for £250 at AG and I have enjoyed them and served me well but I would love to get another set of irons just not sure what to go for.(Suggestions welcome)

Wedges:
Cleveland RTX 588 50* Black Pearl. I have always used Cleveland wedges since I was a young gun starting out until...

Callaway Mack Daddy 2's 54* and 58*. Brand new got them for my Birthday only used them on the range so far and feel lovely.

Putter: Odyssey White Hot Pro #9. Love the shape of the head and I have it at 32 1/2. I will be keeping it for as long as I can.

No club changes this year although I am hoping to maybe gain a little confidence with my Cobra Amp 3W and put it back in the bag.

Bag has been a bit of a moving feast this year. Settled in October on;
Mizuno JPX850 driver 10.5 with Grafalloy NT Comp Proto blue R shaft
Mixuno JPX850 5w set to 16° standard Orochi R shaft
Mizuno JPX EZ 3 & 4 hybrids standard Orochi R shafts
Mizuno JPX850 Forged 5-PW Nipon NS1150GH TourR shafts
Mizuno MP-T5 wedges 50° & 55° Nipon NS950GH Tour S shafts
Mizuno S5 60° wedge Nipon NS950GH Tour S shaft
Bettinardi Queen Bee Model 7 putter with midsize Bettinardi Pure Grip

Will be staying like that for a while.

As per my signature really. MP-5s obviously the big change as used 54s last year.
Putters seem to live on borrowed time, so can see myself possibly getting fit for an Edel at some point. Long way off yet though

New driver in the bag is the only major difference to last year

Will still play half a dozen different courses so I'll continue to tinker with swapping between 3w & 5w depending on the course, also swapping hybrid lofts depending on the par 3's

No change for irons or putter

Might as well join in.

Pretty much the same as last year for me

Mizuno JPX800 driver 9 degree stock exsar regular shaft
Mizuno JPX800 5 wood stock exsar regular shaft
Callaway X 7 wood uniflex steel shaft
Mizuno JPX800 2 h stock exsar regular shaft
Mizuno MX Fli Hi 4h MX lite steel shaft
Mizuno MP53 5-PW DG XP R300
Mizuno MP T11 50/06 GW
Mizuno MP T11 56/13 SW
Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 1.5

Only change is moving on my Tour Style Sand Wedge for the MP T11.

Depending on course and conditions mat swap out the 7w or 2h for an MX Fli Hi 3h

Will also be giving my lovely MacGregor VIP V-foil Cs a few outings too.

Driver = SLDR
3 wood = RBZ HL
2x Hybrids = RBZ
Irons = TM Rsi TP's
2x Wedges = Vokeys
Putter = Odyssey = #9 centre shaft.

Drew the gun a few times for a new driver but not pulled the trigger. The SLDR works most of the time but I feel I really have to work hard with it to get it to do the biz. Its edging towards the naughty step.

As per the signature. No plans for any changes as I really like what I've got and can in no way justify any upgrades (915D I'm looking at you...)

Think the iron's celebrate their 10th birthday this year; should take them somewhere nice, really.
