I bought a pair of golf shoes from a well known golf supplier in June last year.
I've had good use of them but they have now split and are leaking like mad. This is my second pair from said supplier. All my family say take them back and get them exchanged but I feel guilty going back for another pair after they swapped them last time without even a quibble.

Should I just take them back and is this feeling of guilt unfounded? Or simply chuck them in the bin and move on..

As long as the shoes have some sort of guarantee, which most do, take them back. As long as they haven't been abused and you can prove the purchase I can't see a problem.

All the more reason you should expect them to last!

The company you bought through won't be liable, the manufacturer will. So take them back.

Defo take them back then unless you have £150 burning a hole in your pocket!! I had to take my contours back after a month as they leaked every round I played in them bar one!!

If they are still under gaurentee return them, if they have failed during normal useage then why do you feel guilty, you have paid good money for them you should therefore expect them to be fit for purpose.

Take them back and don't feel guilty, the supplier will send them back to the manufacturer anyway so they won't lose out

Dude. You are a Yorkshireman. The shoes have let you down. Get em swaapped! Money is money. You could always ask for those Mizuno shoes you love so much!!

Surely its a no brainer. Are you prepared to bin £150 worth of shoes because of a bit of embarrassment going back a second time. The shop will send them back and won't be out of pocket as the manufacturer will see them right and you get a pair of shoes fit for the job. Out of interest what shoes are they (Icon?)

I'd take them back and demand a refund - if you've looked after them then they obviously aren't fit for the purpose they are intended for. I believe this is covered by the Sale of Goods Act
